Get Involved and Make a Difference
Corporate Giving and Partnerships
The Pankhurst Museum is situated in trailblazer and Mancunian Emmeline Pankhurst’s old home and where she established the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) and suffragette movement.
To be associated with history, prestige and the wonderful heritage of this building, would be sure to make your company stand out.
We are a unique storytelling museum and pride ourselves in keeping the legacy of The Pankhursts alive!
Why not join us in our mission? We are a charity and do not currently receive local government funding, so rely upon charitable giving, tickets sales and reserves.
These are so many ways you could help us!
Partnerships
Why not establish a dedicated and long-term relationship? In this case, The Pankhurst Museum makes total sense to you as a proposition. You care about preserving the future of the Grade II listed building as well as keeping the legacy of Emmeline Pankhurst and the suffragettes alive. We could collaborate on two key fundraisers a year and host exclusive tours for you and your team.
Charity of the year
This is still a long-term partnership, but you’d prefer to have a defined year. It might be that you’re having an International Women’s Day programme or conferences where you’d like to fundraise for us, or you have a great communications team that would like to include us in your high-performing newsletters. Or you have an annual dinner where you’d like to raise funds so we can expand our schools programme, etc. We can work together on a mutually beneficial partnership.
charity of the month
Is your schedule chocka but still want to support us? Why not make us charity of the month? It can be any month. But March is a good one as it’s International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, as is July as it’s Emmeline Pankhurst’s birthday. October is a classic as the 10th of October is the day when the suffragette movement was born. But to be honest, the suffragettes were a busy lot – and you could argue any month is a good as any. The key thing here is that your office or team would raise funds – or better still why not be in competition with another team in your company and see who can raise the most? That’s the spirit!

Team afternoon
A team afternoon at our lovely little museum is totally possible. Places are limited but if you’re interested in this option, we could host a tea and cake afternoon for your team building afternoon and you would get a wonderful tour from our heritage manager.
creative event
Manchester is full of creative and vibrant people. Are you a poet? Painter? Perhaps you’d like to have an exhibition evening and sell some of your work and donate a percentage of it to us. Or you’d like to host a spoken word night and donate some or all of your profits to our small but mighty museum. Please get in touch!
volunteer
Are some of your staff part-time and lovers of heritage and the history of how women got the vote? If so, they might enjoy volunteering at our museum – on Thursdays or Sundays!
We are open to hear other ideas about how to support us but please remember we are a small team of three.
Filming
We have had Michelle Keegan film at our museum for the BBC stalwart Who Do You Think You Are discussing her family’s suffragette connection as well as Great British Menu.
And we’ve hosted the lovely and hilarious Susan Calman for her Channel 5 series.
You too, could film in our prestigious, historical museum.
Prices are available on request.
Thank you so much, we look forward to hearing from you!
